CHANGE

The most constant thing in life is CHANGE. Even the dead change (you could try if you want to find out). But why is it that many of us are afraid of change? Why do we love maintaining the status quo? Why do we love our comfort zone? Well i think it's because we are not given the opportunity of seeing the future(before it comes). Today is all we have, so we tend to remain as "maintenance officer" instead of CHANGE AGENTS. My advise:
Tomorrow will come whether we want it or not.
It's your decision what your tomorrow will look like.

If you dont make a decision, someone will give you one to work with(trust me, you dont want that).
Step out into the dark and embrace change. It's the only guarantee for the future.
You cant expect to get a different result tomorrow if you are using yesterday's techniques today. You've gotta be creative. It's not as easy as it sounds, but with practice, you'll be perfect.

5 PHILOSOPHIES OF LIFE

A mentor of mine explained to me this profound ideas some years ago… I think you should consider it.

The 5 philosophies of Life:

 

1.      Life is Short – Invest It

Some squander it on drugs, smoking, too much sleep, too much TV, etc. Some just spend it. To get the best of life, do not waste time. Do not spend it. Invest it. Invest it in things that will outlast you. Our lives have limit.

2.      Life Is Small – Be Kind

It’s a small world. It has been established several times that you are 5-7 people away from everyone on the planet. Try it-you are 5-7 people away from Barack Obama. Pay close attention to the people you are meeting today, doing business with today, living with today, lording over today. You will most likely still meet again. Please, be kind to them. You never can tell where else you’ll meet.

3.      Life Is Complex – Be Wise

When you want to be successful in every area of your life (and I assume you want to), you’ve got to be wise. It’s not the default. The default is that you succeed in an aspect of life and fail in the other aspects. You need wisdom to deal with the complexities of life. Do you know how to get this wisdom? I know how.

4.      Life Is In Phases – Be Sensitive

If you are using yesterday’s ideas to do business today, you will surely not be in business tomorrow. Be sensitive to things going on around you. Life is in phases and men are in sizes. There was childhood stage,teenage,youth,single,married,father,grandfather,etc. Know the particular phase you are in and be sensitive to know when to make a move.

5.      Life Is Interesting – Enjoy It!

Many people prepare so hard for tomorrow’s rain that they forget to enjoy today’s sunshine. Listen to me folks. Life is interesting. Don’t be too hard or tough on yourself. Enjoy every moment. Celebrate little successes. Take yourself out to lunch. Take that vacation out of the country that you’ve dreamt of. Reward yourself. Pay yourself. Celebrate yourself.

Our educational system has taught us not to make mistakes, that’s why even primary school students cheat. They don’t want “aunty” to beat them when correction is done because “aunty” will always call them “Olodo”.

Today is a great day for me.It's my Birthday, and am very happy to experience yet the beginning of another year.A promising one!
I was sitting in my room alone yesterday (after a stressful day at work), and was trying to ponder on all the things i did/achieved, or couldn't achieve since Nov. 27, 2006-Nov. 26,2007. And to my utmost surprise, i couldn't believe what i wrote down.The year actually ended on a great note, with a lot of great things attached. Before i started writing, i could not see those things i had achieved(BY GOD'S GRACE THOUGH), but after the list was completed, i started singing and praising God.
Well, i'm just trying to say that whatever the situation might be inlife, there's always a reason to be happy, and to thank God. Like my mentor Tope Ogunfayo wrote sometime ago on his blog :www.pastortea.blogspot.com, "Count Your Blessings, Don't Discount Them", we must always learn to count our blessings. The mere fact that you are living is enough reason to give thanks. Some people are not happy with thier present jobs, but you still need to thank God because there are a thousand and one people out there who would do anything to get that same job you are complaining about. So
